Dr. Nahla Abulizz is an Assistant Professor of Translation and Linguistics at the Department of English Language, Faculty of Arts, Helwan University. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Helwan University, where she majored in Translation Studies and Linguistics. Dr. Nahla teaches written translation, as well as consecutive and simultaneous interpretation both for the undergraduate level and the Translation Diploma. Apart from academia, Dr. Nahla generally has a passion for translation, and indeed had worked as a translator and reviewer of screen translation before joining the faculty staff. She also performed a couple of voluntary consecutive interpretation tasks. Dr. Nahla is committed to imparting to her students, as much as possible, her expertise in the field of translation and translation studies, continuously trying to update and improve her teaching techniques. To that end, she has written this invaluable practical guide.
